Michele Borichewski has personally experienced the profound ability yoga has to heal both body and mind. Her desire to teach stems directly from the personal transformation she experienced in her own yoga practice. After suffering from a back injury, she developed a curvature of the spine. Through her yoga practice, Michele experienced a dramatic improvement, causing her spinal curves to elongate.  Along with the physical benefits she soon began to experience the relaxation that comes along with the yogic practice of mind, body, and breath connection. These dramatic results made it clear to her what her life’s mission would be: introducing people to the therapeutic benefits of yoga. Michele has said , ” My passion for teaching stems directly from personally experiencing the transformative powers of yoga.  Nothing is more fulfilling than being able to share this with my students and watch them flourish and grow within their own practice.  The limitless potential for growth and self discovery continually inspires me to advance both my own personal practice as well as that of my students.”

Michele currently works as a Yoga and Pilates instructor in the San Francisco Bay area.  She has a wide array of clients with varying needs, ranging from beginners to those working to rehabilitate injuries.  She teaches yoga and Pilates for the San Francisco State University Campus Recreation Department, for Kaiser Permenante Medical Center, as well as Corporate Yoga classes. Michele  finds joy in every individual she is able to touch and heal through the power of yoga.

Michele Borichewski is a Registered Yoga Therapist and Mat Pilates Instructor who trained at YogaWorks in Walnut Creek, California.  She earned a 200 PYT certification through the combined training of esteemed instructors Mynx Inatsugu and Melanie Salvatore-August. Michele continually enhances her own practice, which she incorporates into her teaching. These topics include yoga for health and wellness, stress management, back care, and rehabilitation.

Her teaching style combines the Iyengar and Hatha methods, incorporating breath awareness with fluid movement. She described her class as ,” A seamless connection between body and mind. A flow of Sun Salutes and postures are incorporated with a steady breath flow, providing an experience that links body and mind as one. This combination of movement with breath allows the student to reach new and remarkable heights.”
